This Privacy Policy explains how LogSure ("we", "our", or "us") collects, uses, stores, and shares personal information when you use our LogSure mobile application (the "App") and website at logsure.io (collectively, the "Services"). The App is designed for employees to view tasks assigned by their organisation, mark tasks as complete, and upload photos as evidence of task completion. Account creation and task management occur exclusively through the web application, not the App.
We are committed to protecting your personal information in accordance with the UK General Data Protection Regulation (UK GDPR), the Data Protection Act 2018, and other applicable data protection laws. We collect only the data necessary to provide the Services and ensure transparency in our data practices.
We collect personal information to operate the Services effectively. The data we collect may be linked to your identity (e.g., your name or email) to associate tasks with your account. We do not use your data for tracking purposes, such as targeted advertising, nor do we share your data with third parties for such purposes.
We collect the following types of information from and about users of our Services:
Personal Data: When you sign in to the App, we collect your name, email address, organisation, role, and any other information provided by your organisation during account creation via the web application.
Content Data: Information you provide through the App, such as task completion statuses, comments, and photos uploaded as evidence of task completion. Photos may contain metadata (e.g., location or timestamps) or identifiable information (e.g., people or objects in the image).
Usage Data: Information about how you interact with the Services, including login times, features used, tasks viewed, and actions taken within the App.
Device Information: Details about the device you use to access the App, including device type, operating system, unique device identifiers, and IP address.
Permissions Data: With your explicit consent, the App requests access to your device's camera and photo library to enable photo uploads for task verification. We only collect this data when you grant permission via system prompts.
Note: The App does not offer a sign-up feature. All user accounts are created by your organisation through the web application. We collect only the minimum data necessary to provide the Services.
We use your information for the following purposes, based on lawful grounds under the UK GDPR (e.g., performance of a contract, legitimate interests, or consent):
We may share your personal information in the following circumstances:
Within Your Organisation: Task-related data, including completion statuses and uploaded photos, is shared with other members of your organisation based on their roles and permissions.
Third-Party Service Providers: We use Google Firebase for data storage, authentication, and processing. We may also engage other third-party providers (e.g., for analytics or crash reporting) to support the Services. These providers process data on our behalf and are bound by data protection agreements to ensure compliance with applicable laws.
Legal Requirements: We may disclose your information if required by law, such as in response to a court order or request from a regulatory authority.
Business Transfers: In the event of a merger, acquisition, or sale of all or part of our business, your information may be transferred to the acquiring entity.
Your personal information is stored securely using Google Firebase and other reputable cloud services. We implement appropriate technical and organisational measures, such as encryption and access controls, to protect your data. Photos uploaded via the App are stored with restricted access, ensuring only authorised members of your organisation can view them. However, no method of transmission or storage is completely secure, and we cannot guarantee absolute security.
As we use Google Firebase, your data may be transferred to and processed in countries outside the UK, including the United States. We ensure such transfers comply with UK GDPR requirements, using mechanisms like Standard Contractual Clauses or adequacy decisions where applicable.
We retain personal information only for as long as necessary to fulfil the purposes outlined in this Privacy Policy or to comply with legal obligations. Task data, including photos, is retained based on your organisation's settings in the web application or until your account is deleted. Upon account deletion, we securely delete your data within 30 days, unless retention is required by law.
Under the UK GDPR, you have the following rights regarding your personal information:
To exercise these rights, contact us at info@logsure.io. We will respond within one month, as required by law. You can also manage permissions (e.g., camera or photo library access) directly in your device settings. If you are dissatisfied with our response, you may lodge a complaint with the UK Information Commissioner's Office (ICO) at ico.org.uk.
The Services are designed for professional use by businesses and are intended for individuals aged 16 and older, including employees such as 16-17-year-olds working for organisations using the App. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children under 16, in compliance with the UK General Data Protection Regulation (UK GDPR) and the U.S. Children's Online Privacy Protection Act (COPPA). If we become aware that we have collected data from a child under 16, we will promptly delete it. Please contact us at info@logsure.io if you believe we have inadvertently collected such data.
The App requests access to your device's camera and photo library to enable photo uploads for task verification. We will only access these features with your explicit consent, requested via system permission prompts at the time of use. You may revoke consent at any time through your device settings, though this may limit certain App functionalities, such as the ability to upload photos. We do not collect or store photos or related data unless you explicitly choose to upload them.
We may update this Privacy Policy to reflect changes in our practices or legal requirements. Updates will be posted on this page with a revised "Last Updated" date. If we make material changes, we will notify you via the App or by email (if applicable) before the changes take effect. We encourage you to review this policy periodically.
